Cat thyme. The plant has a similar effect to catnip (Nepeta cataria). It is a highly ornamental plant with silvery foliage and pleasantly scented pink flowers. It grows in light, well-drained soil and is very suitable for rock gardens. It can also grow in a pot. The plant is used as a homeopathic remedy. It requires a sheltered spot in the garden and is winter hardy up to -10°C.
